Pushing For A Homeless Shelter

A Port Lambton man's dream of having a homeless shelter in Chatham-Kent is still alive.

Don Wells was previously trying to establish a shelter in Wallaceburg, but briefly abandoned the idea earlier this year.

"All I can say is that I was going to give up on it and I said, 'you know what? That's not me to give up on things, hopefully something good will come out of it,'" says Wells. "It's a part of life that we really need to address. If we can all work together as one, it will come together."

Wells will be speaking about the need for a homeless shelter at the Spirit and Life Centre Hall in Chatham from 7pm-9pm tonight.
