Thamesville Fight Leads To Charges

A 61-year-old Howard Township man is being charged with assault with a weapon and robbery.

Chatham-Kent police report around 2pm on Wednesday in Thamesville, two men were arguing when one of the men hit the other in the face with an unknown object while demanding money.

The suspect didn't get any cash and left the victim's residence. A laptop and a fan were both damaged on his way out.

The suspect was found on Thursday and is in custody waiting on a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
