Lakers Can't Snap Losing Streak

The Lakeshore Canadiens edged the Wallaceburg Lakers 2-1 in Junior C hockey action Friday night.

The Lakers were off to a rough start after Lakeshore scored a penalty shot goal in the first period to take the lead. The Canadiens continued their attack on Wallaceburg with a power play goal in the second. And the Lakers scored their only goal with 46 seconds left in the game.

Nick Tavolieri and Liam MacDougall scored one goal each for Lakeshore. Jordan Eagan scored once for the Lakers.

Wallaceburg has now lost nine games in a row.

The Lakers will take on the Blenheim Blades on Sunday at 7:15pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
