Lakers Lose Ten In A Row

The Wallaceburg Lakers have extended their losing streak to ten games following a 4-1 loss to the Blenheim Blades.

During the game on Sunday, the Blades took a 2-1 lead over the Lakers in the second period. In the final 20 minutes, Blenheim was able to score another two goals to extend their lead for the win. The Blades also out shot Wallaceburg 48-21.

Dylan Muzzatti was lead scorer for the game with two goals for Blenheim. Kellen Kaniecki and Blair Derynck scored one each.  Matt Clark scored Wallaceburg's only goal.

The Lakers take on the Dresden Jr. Kings on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Blenheim faces off against Dresden as well on Friday at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
