Blenheim Development Progressing

It has been just over two months since the announcement of a Global Development Centre for Blenheim and economic development officials say the lead company is making a lot of progress.

Deputy director of economic development Stuart McFadden says the chief executive of Brightenview has been spending a lot of time in Chatham-Kent.

"We've got through all the paper-work the deposit has been submitted and we are working through things as we set out the plan," he says. "(The CEO) has met with a number of local contractors, engineers, supply companies."

He says right now the process of developing the site plan is underway and the company is in contact with asian companies that want to locate in Canada.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
