Update: Accused In Confinement Case In Court

The London couple accused of locking their nephew in a filthy bedroom for nearly two years will return to court in January.

A trail date was not set Thursday for the pair, who both face charges of forcible confinement and failing to provide the necessaries of life.

Their nephew was rescued from their Asima Dr. home in May. Police say the boy was locked in bedroom for up to two years. He was fed fast food twice a day and found with shoulder length hair, wearing urine soaked pajamas.

The 10-year-old was treated for malnourishment and placed in foster care, where he remains.

He does not have parents living in the country.

The accused are not originally from Canada and cannot be named to protect the identity of the boy.
