Maroons Beat Flyers

The Chatham Maroons took a 3-1 win over the Leamington Flyers Sunday night.

The Flyers had a 1-0 advantage over Chatham at the end of the first period, but the Maroons were able to to make a comeback, scoring two goals before the third. The Maroons scored once more in the final 20 minutes to take the win.

Ian Faubert, Brennan Feasey and Steven Beenackers scored one goal each for Chatham. Tyler Duarte scored Leamington's only goal.

The Flyers are back on Wednesday to take on the London Nationals at 7:30pm, and the Maroons take on the Strathroy Rockets on Saturday at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
