Cassandra Kaake's Family Holds Visitation

Windsor police continue to investigate the killing of 31-year-old Cassandra Kaake.

There's an outpouring of support from her friends and family. They describe her as a loving, caring and outgoing person who touched the hearts of everyone who met her.

The family is holding visitation Thursday at 2pm at Families First on Dougall Ave. It will be followed by a celebration of Cassandra's life at 8pm.

Kaake was seven months pregnant with her daughter Molly Grace. A postmortem was conducted Friday and revealed that Kaake died due to blood loss caused by severe trauma. Police believe the person responsible may have suffered wounds during the struggle.

The incident took place early Thursday morning inside a home in the 1500-block of Benjamin Ave.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Windsor Police Service Major Crimes Unit or Crime Stoppers.
