High Power Pellet Gun Seized

A 35-year-old Tilbury man faces a couple of charges after police responded to calls about a man holding a long gun with a scope in a field.

When police located the man Monday afternoon, he first refused an order to stop and started to run in the area of St. Clair St.

Eventually the man dropped the gun which turned out to be a loaded high-power pellet gun.

He was first charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, then it turned out he is under a lifetime ban on possessing weapons so he has also been charged with disobeying a court order.
