Search For Vehicle In Homicide Investigation

Windsor police want to hear from anyone with information about a vehicle seen in the area of the fire and homicide on Benjamin Ave.

Firefighters found the body of 31-year-old Cassandra Kaake after putting out a fire inside a home at 1564 Benjamin Ave. last Thursday. Kaake was seven months pregnant and died from blood loss due to severe trauma to the body. Police officers working on the case describe the scene as one of the most disturbing they have ever investigated.

The vehicle is described as a tan-coloured Delta 88, Lincoln Towne Car or Chrysler Fifth Avenue with a dark blue or black Landau roof.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
