County Crash Victim Identified

The man who died in Thursday's three-vehicle crash has been identified by the OPP.

Jeffrey Cincurak, 45, of Essex was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened at the intersection of County Rd. 46 and County Rd. 23 just after 9am.

Investigators determined Cincurak made a left turn into the path of an oncoming dump truck. A third vehicle was also involved and that driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated, but has since reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
