The S’Aints Perform To 'Sleigh' Hunger

Local band The S’Aints are together again to help raise money for those in need this holiday season.

Sunday night, the band put on their fourth annual holiday concert called Sleighing Hunger at Caesars Windsor Colosseum. The event raised $45,000 for three area food banks, the Unemployed Help Centre in Windsor, the Downtown Mission in Windsor, and Outreach for Hunger in Chatham-Kent.

The band, which consists of seven local artists, includes the Tea Party’s Jeff Burrows who says the concert is a great way to raise money during the holidays.

"We have the opportunity to play with some great people. We have an opportunity to go into a studio and record, and do what we all love so dearly," he says. "And we get to perform in front of people and kick off the holidays in essence."

As well, The S’Aints holiday CD is available for purchase on iTunes and at sleighinghunger.com. The proceeds will also help the less fortunate in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
