Impaired Driving Charges After Crash

A 20-year-old man from Kent Bridge is facing impaired driving charges after a serious crash just south of Dresden.

Chatham-Kent police say they were called to the area of Cedar Hedge Line near Baseline Rd. at about 2am this morning, and found a vehicle on its rooftop in a nearby ditch. Emergency crews had to extricate three occupants from the vehicle, but none of them suffered serious injuries.

Through investigation, officers believed the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Further testing showed the driver's blood alcohol concentration was double the legal limit.

The driver has been charged and released with a future court date.
