Weapon And Drug Charges

A 31-year-old Windsor man is being held in custody by Chatham-Kent police on a variety of charges including having a weapon for a public purpose.

An officer stopped a vehicle on Charing Cross Rd at Middle Line that was travelling erratically shortly after 1am and noted a passenger had a suspicious bulge in his sweater pocket.

The bulge turned out to be a can of bear spray and a search turned up what appeared to be crack cocaine and crystal meth.

As well as drug and weapons charges, the man faces charges of breaching previous court orders and giving a false identity in order to avoid arrest.
