Windsor Assembly Plant Under Construction

Chrysler's Windsor Assembly Plant is under construction as the automaker gears up to retool the facility for the next-generation minivan.

A 600-ton crane is on-site lifting 200 pieces of steel onto the plant's roof.

It will help create a new conveyor system, which moves vehicles along the line adjusting the height for workers providing them with a better line of sight. They say this will improve vehicle quality and provide better posture for employees on the line.

Starting in February, Chrysler says additional projects will be completed when the plant is shut down for 14 weeks.
