Debt Collector Pulls A Knife

A 29-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after police say he pulled a knife on some people that owed him money.

Chatham-Kent police say residents on Timmins Cres. in Chatham called police Wednesday morning after a man pulled out a knife while he was arguing with them about money they owed him.

The accused is now charged with uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
