Staff Help Dogs Escape Blaze

Chatham-Kent fire officials are still investigating after a blaze at a kennel and garage shop near Mitchell's Bay.

Fire crews from two stations were called to the Mud Creek Sport Club just after 9:30pm on New Year's Day.

There were two dogs on the property at the time, but staff were able to get them both out of the kennel area safely.

The damages are estimated at $40,000. No injuries were reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
