Brodie Credits Teammates For Success

Chatham's TJ Brodie is giving credit to everyone but himself for his break-out season in the NHL.

So far, the 24-year-old Calgary Flames defenceman has six goals and 19 assists, and should easily eclipse the career-high 31 points he put up over 81 games last season.

"I think I've been shooting the puck a little bit more, but at the same time our forwards have been putting the puck in the net and we've had that support from them that gives us the ability to jump up in the play," says Brodie. "Obviously I want to keep it up, but as long as I'm playing strong defensively and I'm playing smart, I think the chances will keep coming."

Brodie signed a five-year contract extension with the Flames in October.
