Wallaceburg Falls To Essex

The 1st place Essex 73's beat the last place Wallaceburg Lakers 4-1.

The 73's struck first, scoring 1:10 into the game, but Tyler Shaw scored for the Lakers to keep it close.

Essex scored twice in the second period to put the game away. William Stadder led the 73's with two goals.

The loss is the Lakers 18th straight, they haven't won since the end of October.

Essex is off until Sunday when they play in Amherstburg. Wallaceburg is back on the ice tonight when they host the Admirals.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
