Driving Without A Licence

Driving without a licence, twice, has landed a Chatham man with charges.

Chatham-Kent police approached a man in a vehicle in a parking lot on Merritt Ave. Tuesday morning after receiving information that he didn't have a licence. The officer charged him after confirming he was suspended from driving due to unpaid fines.

An hour later, the same officer spotted the man driving a different vehicle on Richmond St. in Chatham.

The 47-year-old man is facing two charges of driving while under suspension and will appear in court next month to answer to the charges.

The owner of the vehicle was also issued a ticket for permitting an unlicensed person to drive their vehicle.
