Police Raid Nets Drugs

Chatham-Kent police has busted processing operation and seized $166,000 worth of marijuana.

"Our intelligence section along with the K-9 unit executed a search warrant on Delaware Ave. in Chatham," says Constable Renee Cowell. "Officers seized approximately $166,000 of cannabis marijuana, almost $3,200 in Canadian currency and $500 in U.S. currency."

Police also seized several electronic scales.

A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman faces trafficking marijuana and production of cannabis resin and have been released with future court dates.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
