Lakers Suffer 20th Loss

The Wheatley Sharks crushed the Lakers 5-0 in Wallaceburg's 20th loss is a row.

During the game on Wednesday, the Lakers were able to hold the Sharks at bay in a scoreless first period, but were at a 3-0 deficit at the end of the second. In the third, the Sharks scored two more unanswered goals for the shutout win.

Brett Bowman led the Sharks with two goals. Brian Johnson, Lucas Raffoul and Scott Florence each scored one.

The Lakers are back on Friday to take on the Alvinston Flyers at 7:30pm. And then on Saturday, the Sharks take on the Dresden Jr. Kings at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
