Maroons Shoot Down Stars

The Chatham Maroons beat the St. Thomas Stars 5-3 for their third win in a row.

During the game Friday night, the Maroons took a 1-0 lead in the first period and extended that to a 4-2 advantage in the second. Both teams scored once in the third, which ensured Chatham's two goal lead for the win.

Alexander Morgan led the Maroons with two goals. Jared Dennis, Michael Levesque and Gus Ford each scored one.

The Maroons are back on the ice on Sunday to take on the Sarnia Legionnaires at 7pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
