McNaughton Calls Wind Energy 'Failure'

If named Ontario's PC leader, Monte McNaughton says he will end what he calls Ontario's "wind energy experiment."

This would decommission constructed wind turbines and cancel any future plans for more.

McNaughton calls the provincial government's alternative energy effort a failure. "It's been driving up energy bills and worst of all, all of this energy is being dumped into other jurisdictions at a huge loss," according to McNaughton.

McNaughton adds wind energy is going to cost the province between $20-billion to $60-billion over the next 20 years.
