Fatal Bike Crash Going Cold

A fatal crash involving a vehicle and a cyclist in Chatham has all the makings of becoming a cold case.

On October 30,  police say the 52-year-old was travelling eastbound along Park Ave. E near Creek Rd. around 6am when he was found by a passer-by. The victim was eventually airlifted to a Windsor hospital and succumbed to his injuries November 9.

Traffic Sergeant Ed MacLean says the case has dried-up. "There's been no new leads or tips in regards to that fatality," says MacLean. "We're still interested in hearing from the public and anybody else that does have information regarding that accident." MacLean says they will continue to investigate in hopes of any leads surfacing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
