Charges Laid After School Incident

A 17-year-old taken into custody during an incident yesterday at John McGregor Secondary School faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He has been released with a future court date.

The incident started around 10:30am when police were notified a person with a knife had entered the Chatham school.

The school was secured and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
