High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Chatham-Kent's Travis Konecny will get a chance to show off his talent at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game tonight.
The 17-year-old Clachan-native will suit up for Team Bobby Orr and is expected to start the game on a line with top prospect Connor McDavid as they take on Team Don Cherry in St. Catharines at 7pm.
Earlier this week, Konecny landed 26th among North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings.
Konecny has 19 goals and 22 assists through 42 games for the Ottawa 67s this season.
