Shipley Honours WWII Veterans

Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Bev Shipley is making stops in his riding to commemorate the 75th anniversary of WWII.

He was at the Wallaceburg Legion Saturday to honour the memory of fallen soldiers and veterans.

Shipley says the vets he spoke to are still affected by the atrocities of war. "They get pretty emotional...it reactivates their mind and some of the things they were involved in. Some of them were in administrative duties and some were in active duties. But in that time they all played a part."

Shipley is handing out commemorative certificates and lapel pins to 85 WWII vets this week.
