Arson In Harwich Township

A suspicious fire in Harwich is prompting a police investigation.

Officials say around 11:30pm Monday night, crews responded to a fire at an abandoned house on Base Rd. The structure was fully engulfed and completely destroyed.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
