Kijiji User Impersonates Officer

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a Chatham man after two complaints regarding the impersonation of a peace officer.

Earlier this month a Wallaceburg couple met up with a man selling a set of speakers on Kijiji. They say the man arrived wearing a law enforcement-style jacket and presenting himself as a police officer.

The next day police say the same man entered a local business trying to sell speakers, wearing the same outfit.

After a police investigation officials searched a Chatham home and placed a 46-year-old man under arrest. He's charged with impersonating a peace officer and was released with a future court date.
