UPDATE: Victim Identified In Fatal Crash

Tecumseh OPP has identified a pedestrian struck and killed on Walker Rd., between South Talbot Rd. and County Rd. 8.

Provincial police say 75-year-old Roger Bauer was walking across the street to get his mail in the 6400-block of Walker Rd. when he was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck. Police say the driver remained on scene to help and do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash. The pedestrian died at the scene due to his injuries.

Walker Rd. was closed between South Talbot Rd. and County Rd. 8 until around midnight while police investigated.

Police say they are not laying charges.
