CK To Find Staff Efficiencies

Chatham-Kent administration will be looking for ways to save on salary and benefits in 2015.

This after a motion from Councillor Darrin Canniff to find $300,000 in salary and benefit costs through attrition.

Canniff says they have to drive efficiencies. "We're looking to cut costs, we're looking to be efficient. We need to look at salary. There's 50% there, we need to push for administration to find savings."

On Tuesday, Chatham-Kent Council agreed on a budget with a tax freeze for residents.
