DNA Evidence Leads To Arrest

A 35-year-old man is facing charges after his DNA matched up with evidence taken from the scene of a break and enter in Chatham.

Police say officers collected the evidence while they were investigating a break-in at a business on Park Ave. W late last September.

Investigators later sent the evidence to the Centre of Forensic Sciences where officials were able to match it up with DNA from a Chatham man.

Officers were able to locate the man on Grand Ave. E near Taylor Ave. yesterday afternoon and arrested him.
