Blenheim Could Eliminate Alvinston

The Blenheim Blades have a chance to move on to the second round of the Jr. C hockey playoffs tonight.

They're up 3-games-to-2 on Alvinston and could eliminate the Flyers on the road tonight. Blades General Manager Wayne Cowell doesn't think home ice carries a significant advantage in the series.

"They've won on on our ice surface and we've won one on theirs," says Cowell. "We're not known for our offensive power, so we have to play a very tight game defensively."

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm in Alvinston. Elsewhere tonight, the Dresden Jr. Kings are in Lakeshore at 7:05pm facing the Canadiens with the series tied at two games apiece.
