Charges After Multiple Highway Crashes

The Chatham-Kent OPP was kept busy Sunday, investigating a number of collisions on Hwy. 401.

Police say a Jeep Liberty was found in the centre median of the westbound highway near Scane Side Rd. around 11:30am. As a result, a 20-year-old woman from Kingsville is charged with careless driving.

Later in the day, around 5pm, provincial police were investigating another collision east of Queens Line.

Officials say as another car slowed down near the scene of the accident, a Hyundai struck the rear of the vehicle travelling eastbound. A 41-year-old woman from Woodstock has also been charged with careless driving.
