McNaughton Challenges Premier

Premier Kathleen Wynne is dismissing Monte McNaughton's criticism of the Liberals' proposed new sex ed curriculum as "fearmongering.''

She says she's not sure if the Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP's opposition is due to his P-C leadership campaign or to a small group of people who want to stir up fear.

McNaughton says more parental input is needed.

Wynne says the consultations have been done and the new curriculum -- to be implemented in September -- should be online for public viewing in a few weeks.

The reintroduced curriculum, among other things, will teach kids about homosexuality in Grade 3. (With Files From The Canadian Press)
