CK Officials Set For OGRA/ROMA Conference

Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope along with a number of councillors are attending the joint Ontario Good Roads Association/Rural Ontario Municipal Association Conference in Toronto this week.

Hope says they will be putting a focus on infrastructure and financial stability for the municipality.

As chair of the Western Wardens, Hope says he also wants to take a collaborative approach when dealing with municipalities in eastern Ontario. "It's a chance for us to communicate our messages and find common goals so we have the same message delivered to the federal and provincial governments."

Hope adds he's happy to see new councillors eager to attend the event. The conference runs February 22-25.
