Extreme Cold Warning In Effect

Environment Canada has issued yet another extreme cold warning for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.

The warning is prompted by bitter cold wind chills expected Sunday overnight and into Monday. Temperatures could feel as low as -40 C (-40 F) with the wind factored in.

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit has also issued a cold weather alert for all day Monday and overnight in to Tuesday. Anyone planning on being outside should prepare accordingly, as exposed skin could freeze in as little as ten minutes.

Wind chills are expected to be less severe heading into Monday afternoon.
