Cold Weather Didn't Stop Outage

A planned cut in electricity for 1,100 Hydro One customers in Harwich near Chatham this morning is going ahead as planned despite the cold weather.

Company spokesperson Tiziana Baccega Rosa it couldn't be postponed.

"It is cold but we understand this is urgent work that does need to take place," she says. "It looks like they can keep it to an hour and a half which is what it is scheduled for."

She does say that Hydro One takes extreme weather into account when possible when it carries out repair work.
