Meetings Cancelled After Walpole Deaths

After two adult male bodies were found on Walpole Island Sunday, officials have cancelled all council meetings for the immediate future.

First Nations officials posted the announcement on Facebook, offering condolences to the friends, family and community of the men.

Anyone affected by the deaths can call the Walpole Island First Nations help team at 519-627-3635.

OPP has released few details about the deaths, except for saying they don't appear to be suspicious.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
