UPDATE: Charges Laid In Hwy 40 Crash

Charges have been laid after an early morning crash closed a section of Hwy. 40 between Chatham and Wallaceburg.

The OPP says the accident occurred just after 6:30am when a pickup truck turning north onto the highway from Electric Line was struck by a southbound SUV.

A 51-year-old man from Dover Centre who was driving the truck has been charged with failing to yield. Both he and the 54-year-old Wallaceburg woman driving the SUV were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
