New St. Clair College President

Senior VP of Operations Patti France will take over for Dr. John Strasser as president of St. Clair College this fall.

The announcement was made at the school's SportsPlex, Thursday morning.

France says the college needs to continue to build strong relationships with Windsor University, as well as private and public sector partners, because the school's needs are evolving. "I think, from a facilities perspective, we have the capacity that we need," she explains. "I think we need now to concentrate on academic quality and accreditations, and we need to focus some things that are more near and dear to the students from an educational perspective."

France is the first ever female president of St. Clair College.  She's a graduate of the school's computer science program, and started working at the registrar's office 25 years ago before working her way all the way up to her current position.
