Impaired Driving Charge

Chatham-Kent police are crediting an alert member of the public for helping them get an impaired driver off the road.

Police got a tip about a possible impaired driver on St. Clair St. around 10:45pm last night and a patrol officer spotted a suspect vehicle heading south on Communication Rd. near Park Ave. E.

The officer stopped the vehicle and determined the driver had been drinking.

After testing the suspect, police charged a 32-year-old Thamesville man with impaired driving.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
