Students Get Industry Experience

Tilbury District High School is teaming up with metal fabrication company Anchor Danly to give students some real-world experience.

Students enrolled in the construction specialization program are taking part in a pilot project today where they'll be tackling a current issue faced by the company and coming up with their own solutions.

"This is an opportunity for Anchor Danly to see what TDHS is all about and for the students to have a better understanding of employment opportunities in their home community," says Janice Wranich, a Special Projects Teacher with the Lambton Kent District School Board.

The Ministry of Education will be getting feedback from the students, the teachers, and Anchor Danly to help come up with a plan that could roll out across the province.
