Slow Changes For Canada Post

Canada Post is starting to phase out door-to-door delivery in a number of communities across the country.

Tecumseh and Lakeshore will start to see changes later this year, but nothing has been announced yet regarding Chatham-Kent.

"If we had a choice we wouldn't do this, it's not like we woke up one day and said, 'let's change the mode of delivery for 5-million addresses,'" says Canada Post spokesperson Anick Losier. "Unfortunately we are in the position right now where if we don't make changes, we put at risk the postal system in Canada."

Losier says they have 5-million addresses that need to be converted to community mailboxes by 2019. To see if you will be affected by the changes in Tecumseh and Lakeshore later this year, click here.
