Expired Plates On Two Cars

Chatham-Kent police charged two people within a three-hour period for driving with an expired licence plate and other offences.

The first instance happened yesterday just before 10:15am when an officer stopped a speeding vehicle in Chatham, only to find out the permit had expired in January and the driver didn't have insurance.

The second incident happed at 1:15 pm when a patrolling officer stopped a speeding Cavalier on Victoria Ave.

That vehicle's plate also expired in January and the driver was under a licence suspension.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
