OPP Still Investigating Caughlin Case After 41 Years

The death of a local teen is still a mystery, 41 years later.

March 16, 1974, the body of 14-year-old Karen-Lee Caughlin was found in a ditch just west of Petrolia.

OPP Constable Mark Foster says a YouTube video continues to spark new information in the case.

Police have not made any arrests in the case, but do have suspect DNA, and information about a suspect vehicle.

Police say Caughlin had been at the "Rose Garden Roller Rink" in Sarnia with friends before being dropped off at a girlfriends house on Brock St. around midnight.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
