CK Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

Chatham-Kent business owners are gearing up for a day filled with green beer and irish stew.

Local bars and restaurants expect patrons throughout the day celebrating St. Patricks Day.

Blazin BBQ Owner Matt Jenkins says live entertainment will compliment their food and drink. "We have Two For Tuesday playing... we have irish dancers coming in at 5. As well we have tonnes of giveaways: hats, irish leis and all the green beer you can shake a stick at." Jenkins is also excited to showcase their seven new beer taps as part of their recent renovations.

Meanwhile, Mike's Place owner Brenda Buckler says they'll draw a winner for their trip to Ireland contest. "We started it in January; anytime you come in the restaurant you drop your name into a bucket. Then on St. Patty's Day we'll draw one name, and they'll win a trip to Ireland."

Both owners expect business to really pick up around 3pm.
