Tecumseh Making Junior C Bid

Junior hockey could be making a return to Tecumseh.

Ontario Hockey Association Director Larry Keenan says a well-respected business owner "with a lot to offer" is making a bid for a Jr. C franchise.

He explains that paperwork has been submitted, but there are a lot of questions to answer over the next month or so before a decision can be made. "Is it right for the league? Is it right for the kids?" Asks Keenan. "Are there enough good hockey players of that calibre to be able to support another club?"

Tecumseh hasn't had its own hockey team since the Jr. B Tecumseh Chiefs left for LaSalle in 2008 after winning the Sutherland Cup.
