Busy Night For RIDE Checks

Chatham-Kent police followed through on their promise to check for drinking drivers last night and conducted a number of RIDE programs in various parts of the municipality.

Overall, they checked 1,000 vehicles and issued only three 3-Day suspensions and five other violations.

There were no impaired driving charges, and police are advising that even though St. Patrick's Day is behind us, they continue to be vigilant for impaired driving.
